Occupancy ratio billing bases the percentage charges off the number of occupants in a location. For instance, if Unit A has 1 tenant and Unit B has 3 tenants; Unit A would be charged 25% of the total consumption while Unit B would be charged 75% of the total bill.

Square footage ratio billing charges tenants based off the proportionate square footage of a unit. For example, if Unit A is 1000 sq/ft and Unit B has 1500 sq/ft; Unit A would be charged 40% of the total bill, with Unit B being charged the rest
